My jetski ran fine for a few hours yesterday, then suddenly lost power. After getting out into the river it just wouldnt go I realized something was wrong. I have also gotten under the machine and the impeller and wear ring still look brand new so im not thinking it is anything mechanical.. Any help is appreciated. (i also have the learning key) Anyway, i called my dealership this morning and they have no idea why it is not letting me hit the 60 mph and getting the full power. Then crank as soon as possible. I have a 1999 xl1200 and I bought it a little over a month ago and it ran alright when i bought it, got it up a little past 50 mph but when i would first start to ride it, it would bog down when accelerating at low speeds, the problem go worse and now it bogs down so much it wont go over 10 mph, I am pretty sure it is the carburetor, I did a compression check and it was 117 in all 3 cylinders . I checked it against my other Seadoo that works perfect and has no noticeable gap at all. The manual says break in period is 10 hours, a lot of people on the forums say 5 hours. i think i took the accelerator pump apart i really dont remember though. Resolved, I ordered a new OEM wear ring, greyish purple from, 2018 Seadoo GTX 155 (75Hrs) Only Goes 40 Mph. Hopefully, it looks and is as good in the hull. Any thoughts???? UPDATE: so i took it into the dealership this morning and they were reluctant to help me claiming that because i live in Salt lake and the lakes I got to are at 4000-6000 MSL the high altitude is bringing the speed down to 45 is all and thats normal. Seemed to run fine when put away although it was only run on a trailer. We didn't hit any weeds or anything, we were in the middle of the lake when it started dying. At some point, I thought my ski had a serious issue but the service at BRP told me that it was normal on this model. The rebuild kit actually came with incorrect springs so I had to put the old ones back in to get the right pop off pressure. Upgrade to a new Sea-Doo personal watercraft for the new riding season! In one instance, I noticed that turning off the engine and restarting it clears some of the break in limitations. Unfortunately, that's not necessarily the case with Jet boats. document.write("
